A Better Colorado Foundation is a Colorado-based nonprofit dedicated to helping veterans struggling with PTSD find healing, purpose, and connection through the power of service animals.
We believe no hero should feel forgotten after their service. But for many veterans, the transition to civilian life is filled with unseen battles — anxiety, depression, and a heartbreaking rate of suicide. Our mission is simple but powerful: pair veterans with highly trained service dogs to help them reclaim their lives.

Every day, an estimated 17 veterans die by suicide. Many more suffer in silence. Clinical research and firsthand experience both confirm what we already knew: service dogs save lives. These loyal companions offer more than just help — they offer hope, stability, and unconditional love.
